From Brazil comes a report that the widow of late Football great Pele, will only inherit 30% of her husband’s assets, with the remaining 70% available to be distributed among the children and other wives.
According to the will as revealed by the window’s Lawyer Luiz Kignel, Marcia Cibele Aoki, Pele’s third and last wife, will inherit his mansion in Guaruja, a seaside resort town south of Sao Paulo, where the couple lived.
The will, AFP reports stated that a woman, who could be Pele’s unrecognized daughter is part of the sharing, as listed by the World renowned footballer, who passed on in December 2022.
Kignel said the woman in question is a Brazilian national and has taken legal steps to be recognised as Pele’s daughter.
In September 2022, a court in Sao Paulo, ordered Pele to submit to a DNA test, according to the G1 website.
The test must now be performed on one of his seven recognised children.
Other assets belonging to Pele, who died after battling cancer in at age 82, include; more real estate and a stake in the Pele brand.
Though, Kignel said that a complete inventory is yet to be made.
