Nigerian music star Wizkid, has won the Favorite Afrobeat Artist Award at the 2022 American Music Awards.
Wizkid was part of the first ever nominees for the Favorite Afrobeats Artist at the 2022 American Music Award.
He was nominated alongside other great music stars such as Burna Boy, CKay, Tems, and Fireboy . It was definitely a competitive category because each music star has brought great taste of music to the industry.
Wizkid also won the Favorite R&B Award with his song ‘Essence’ feat Tems and Justin Bieber fending off competition from other heavy weights.
