Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid has recorded another win as his ‘ESSENCE’ track becomes the first African song to make US Apple Music Top 30.
This was made known in a recent social media post on Twitter made by African Facts Zone and the post reads;
“Wizkid’s Essence ft. Tems is now #30 on US Apple Music and #56 on US iTunes. Made In Lagos is #22 on US Apple Music Top Albums and #37 on US iTunes. ‘Essence’ is the first African song to make it to the Top 30, Top 40, Top 50 and Top 100 of the US Apple Music Top Albums Chart.”
Reacting to the post, fans of the Starboy seized the opportunity to blow the trumpet of their fave.
