Former international and Super Eagles assistant coach Usman Abdallah has now emerged the prime target for Zambia top football club Zesco United.
Though Abdallah is currently coaching a Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United, the Zambia club want him to put pen on paper with them.
Already, the club has given Abdallah few days to make a final decision on whether he will remain with the Nigerian club or switch over as 2022/23 season beckons, with the Zambia side eager to announce a new gaffer.
With any of Nigerian leagues yet to know when to resume, coach Abdallah who won NPFL title with Enyimba three seasons ago remains undecided.
On the other hand, Kano Pillars are also keen on naming Abdallah as their new coach as part of the reshuffling process in the team ahead of the new season.
He is one of the assistants of Super Eagles head Coach Jose Pasiero.
NPFL new season which should have kicked off is still yet to get a resumption date after the leadership of the country’s apex League was changed.
Before now, a League Management Company was in place, but by the end of last season, a new management dubbed Interim Management Committee was set-up.
