Youngest Governorship aspirant in Zamfara State, Lamido Abdulmalik Gajam, has accused the State Government under the current leadership of Bello Matawalle, of using the Zamfara State Urban and Regional Planning Board (ZUREPB) as a tool to drive political agenda.
The emerging leader made this charge in a statement made available to The Heritage Times on Friday, questioning the direction to which the state sailing to.
“Could this be the new direction in Zamfara State? Government sabotage through use of public institutions such as “ZUREPB”to drive a political agenda,” Lamido stated.
According to the statement, Lamido who is the youngest gubernatorial aspirant in the state, already has his billboards mapped out across the state, while his supporters are being chased for persecution by the state governor.
The versatile Lamido has always been an advocate for good governance and youth inclusiveness.
ZUREPB has been largely criticised for carrying out ‘targeted’ demolitions across the state.
